How can I set and/or change the geofence radius for my account?

A new account with Boomr, by default, does not have a geofence set. A geofence is the distance from a location within which an employee is able to check in for work and log time. For example, if your account's geofence radius is set to 0.5 miles, all employees that attempt to check in for work at an work location that they are farther than 0.5 miles away from, will not be able to. 

 

The geofence radius can be set very tight, up to 0.25 miles (meaning employees must be very close to the office or work location to check in), or more loosely, say 1 mile or 2.5 miles. 

 

The geofence setting is company specific, and can be set and changed easily from the Preferences page in the management dashboard. To do this, simply sign into your account, click on your name in the top right corner of the screen and select Preferences from the drop down menu.

 

 

Once on the Preferences page, scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see App Preferences. Here, you can set and edit your geofence preferences to fit your company's needs.
